Building Code Act, 1992 and
Ontario Regulation 332/12.
The new Ontario Building Code 2012 contains over 700 changes, revisions and additions to O. Reg. 350/06 including the following:
- new requirements for residential occupancy
- additional requirements for energy efficiency
- changes to smoke alarm requirements for residential occupancies
- improve Ontario's Code consistency with building codes across Canada to make it easier to design and construct nationally.
